Valve’s July 2026 Steam Hardware Survey shows two hardware crossovers. Systems with eight physical CPU cores now represent 27.85% of participants, narrowly ahead of six-core systems at 27.52%. The 16GB VRAM category also reached 25.90%, passing 8GB at 25.32%.
Eight-core CPUs
Intel has released version 3.1.0 of its XeSS plugin for Unreal Engine. The update adds support for Unreal Engine 5.8 and upgrades the included XeSS SDK to version 3.0.2.
The plugin provides access to XeSS Super Resolution, XeSS Multi-Frame Generation and Xe Low Latency. Intel offers separate packages for Unreal Engine versions ranging from UE 4.26 to UE 5.8.

Digital Citizen claims it obtained the full press image package, but Lenovo has not announced the laptop or confirmed its specifications. The device appears to be part of the first Googlebook lineup expected later this year.
The 15-inch laptop has a light silver chassis with large speaker grilles on both sides of the keyboard.
LEKUO has launched the PB65MX3 expansion card in China. The card uses an AMD B650 chipset and connects through a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. It costs 599 yuan, equivalent to around $89 or €78 before regional taxes.

HWiNFO is preparing per-chip VRAM temperature monitoring for AMD Navi GPUs. The feature appears in the software’s upcoming changes list, although the developer has not assigned it to a specific release.
The new sensor mode should expose temperatures from individual GDDR6 packages instead of providing only a general memory temperature reading. This may help users detect uneven temperatures caused by thermal pad contact, mounting pressure or cooler design.

An alleged Microsoft roadmap sent to publishers has revealed the planned schedule for Xbox Disc to Digital and the expanded backward compatibility program. The images were shared by eXtas1s. Microsoft has not confirmed the document or its dates.
