Lenovo replaces Lunar Lake with Wildcat Lake in new ThinkCentre AIO

Lenovo has listed the ThinkCentre Neo 50a 24 Gen 7, a new all-in-one desktop based on Intel Wildcat Lake processors. The system will be offered globally with Core 5 320 and Core 7 350 configurations.

The Gen 7 model arrives shortly after Lenovo introduced the ThinkCentre Neo 50a Gen 6. That version used Intel Lunar Lake processors and was available with 24-inch and 27-inch screens.

Microsoft has provided an update on its Windows 11 quality improvement plan, four months after announcing a renewed focus on performance and reliability. The company says several changes are already being tested through the Windows Insider Program, while wider availability will begin this fall.

The display engine is connected to GC 13.0.1 in the code, which is expected to belong to AMD’s future GFX13 graphics architecture also known as RDNA5. The new code therefore provides another early reference to the graphics technology expected to power AMD’s next Radeon generation.

AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 has appeared in the Geekbench 7 database. The Gorgon Halo processor was tested inside an HP ZBook Ultra G3a 16-inch Mobile Workstation with 96GB of memory.

iFixit has restocked the official Steam Deck LCD replacement battery, but it now costs considerably more. The battery alone is listed at $129.99, while the Fix Kit with the required opening and removal tools costs $134.99. Both options are currently ready to ship.

The genuine battery previously cost $79.99. The new price represents a $50 increase, or 62.

Steam Deck OLED gains HDR streaming and experimental AV1 support

Steam Deck Remote Play adds HDR and AV1 video streaming

Valve has added HDR and AV1 video streaming support to Steam Deck through its latest Steam Beta Client update. The update was released to the Preview and Beta channels on July 29.

HDR streaming is currently supported only on the Steam Deck OLED , which includes an HDR-capable display. Valve also improved the video color range used by Steam Remote Play.
