Nintendo Technology Development is hiring a senior display engineer to work on display technology for current and future gaming hardware. The role involves designing display drivers and ensuring compatibility with standards including HDMI, DisplayPort, DSI and EDID.

Nintendo lists knowledge of HDR and Variable Refresh Rate as a preferred qualification. The engineer would also research display features that could be deployed across gaming consoles used by a large audience.

AMD confirms Zen 6 rollout for its July 22 AI event

AMD has confirmed that its Zen 6 CPU architecture will launch at the Advancing AI 2026 event on July 22 and 23. The event will take place in San Francisco, less than two weeks from now.

AMD CTO Mark Papermaster said the company will roll out its sixth-generation processors during the event. The launch will begin with 6th Gen EPYC processors, codenamed Venice, rather than consumer Ryzen CPUs.

HWiNFO has released version 8.50 of its hardware information and sensor monitoring software. The update adds measured core, memory and XBAR clock readings for NVIDIA GPUs.

These readings provide additional clock telemetry alongside the existing NVIDIA GPU sensors. HWiNFO does not specify whether the new values require a particular GPU architecture or driver version.

Razer is applying for Ubuntu Linux certification for the Blade 18 laptop, according to Phoronix. The system uses the RZ09-0582 model number and is currently going through the certification process.

The report claims the process began in June 2026 and remains ongoing. If completed, Blade 18 would become the first Razer laptop with official Ubuntu Linux certification.
