Mystery solved! The “thing” attached to the hot shoe in this image is a removable EVF! I don’t know the EVF’s resolution yet, but I have been told it can be detached. I really like the idea of being able to choose whether you want to use an EVF or not. The only downside is that, when the EVF is attached, the Sony Multi Interface Shoe can’t be used for external audio accessories.

Sony FX5 image leak: Let’s start from the top and go down to analyze

I’ve received conflicting rumors about the new FX5 sensor. Most of my sources say it has a native 16MP sensor, but one source claims it actually uses a higher-resolution sensor that is downsampled to 16MP. I can’t confirm whether that’s accurate. Either way, I think we’re likely looking at a resolution of around 16MP (maybe 16. something)

The real big question is whether this is a brand-new global shutter sensor or a

BHphoto launched the new 4th of July deals (Click here) . They include savings on Viltrox lenses and Lexar cards !

Three sources confirmed the Sony FX5 has a triple base ISO which is a first on Sony cameras. It also records internal RAW.

On July 9 Sony will announce the new Sony RX10V. it’s a very minimal update with new chip (for faster processing and better AF) and Sony NPFZ1000 battery support . From what I understood it will keep the same sensor and 24-600mm lens of the original 9 year old RX10IV .
