About those rumors: I have no idea who sent them and 90% of the times they turn out to be wrong. But, it happened in the past that a couple of those were right. So I will post them today, and we all together can eventually keep track of this. If one of the sources turns out to be right than we will know we can trust it a bit more!

Testing Aiarty Image Enhancer on High-Resolution RAW Files and ISO 12,800

Extreme ISO noise and slight focus misses are punishing on high-resolution sensors. For those exploring alternatives to industry staples like Topaz Labs, photographer Marcus Lashah Walker recently put Aiarty Image Enhancer to a demanding test. He evaluates it using ISO 12,800 RAW captures and a severely missed-focus shot—with all default processing disabled.
This kind of stress test is highly relevant for anyone shooting with high-megapixel sensors, where extreme ISO noise and slight focus misses can be especially punishing when viewed at 1

First leaked image of a new Sigma wide angle FE lens!

A source (thanks!) just sent me this image of a new Sigma wide-angle zoom lens.

From the image, we can see that the lens ends at 20mm. I don’t know yet how wide it goes at the other end, but I’ve been told it’s even wider than this Sigma’s wide-angle zoom .

I also don’t have an announcement date yet, but it’s clearly going to be unveiled very soon!

This is how the Sony Alpha camera would look if it would use the new Sony 65mm sensor

I photoshopped the size of the new Sony 65mm sensor onto the Sony A7R VI to give you an idea of just how massive this sensor really is. Any Alpha camera using a sensor of this size would almost certainly require a larger body. 🙂
