Woman taken to hospital after 2-vehicle collision in Mississauga

A woman has been taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in Mississauga. Peel police say the collision happened at Southdown and Hartland roads around 7:20 p.m. It’s unknown how severe the woman’s injuries. All northbound lanes of Southdown are closed between Lakeshore Road and Bromsgrove Road.

2 pedestrians struck by vehicle in Vaughan

Two pedestrians have been struck by a vehicle in Vaughan Tuesday night.

York police were called to Rutherford Road and Velmar Drive just after 7:20 p.m.

Both pedestrian, a male and a female were both taken to hospital with serious injuries, including one with life-threatening injuries. Their ages have not been released.

The driver involved remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The westbound lanes of Rutherford have been shut down and are expected to remain closed for several hours.

Woman wanted after man stabbed in Jane and Finch area

Toronto police are searching for a woman after a man was stabbed near Jane and Finch Tuesday.

Officers were called to the intersection just after 6 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.

A man was transported to hospital. The severity of his injuries is unknown.

The suspect is described as a Brown woman, five foot four inches, black hair, thin build and wearing a yellow top and black leggings.

2 injured after car flips in Annex collision

Two people have been taken to hospital after a collision that caused a car to flip over in The Annex area.

Toronto police were called to just south of Bathurst and Dupont streets around 5:15 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening.

One vehicle struck a pole while the other flipped over completely.

Paramedics transported two people to hospital, one with serious, non-life-threatening injuries and another with minor injuries.

7 people injured in collision near Steeles and Jane

Seven people have been injured after a two-vehicle collision near Steeles Avenue West and Jane Street Tuesday evening, according to Toronto EMS.

Toronto police were called to the intersection around 5:30 p.m. for reports of a crash. One of the cars had flipped and the occupants were trapped inside the vehicle.

They were removed and taken to hospital via an emergency run, according to police.

1 constable in training killed, another critically injured, after crash near Ontario Police College

The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) says one constable in training (CIT) was killed and another was critically injured in a crash involving a transport truck near the Ontario Police College in the Township of Malahide on Tuesday morning.

DRPS said the recruits were travelling to a police training session at the time of the incident.

Canada’s Victoria Mboko out of National Bank Open with knee injury

Canada’s Victoria Mboko is withdrawing from the National Bank Open presented by Rogers due to a knee injury.

The 2025 tournament champion hasn’t played a competitive match since falling on court last month at the HSBC Championships.

Mboko, the world No. 10 from Burlington, Ont., injured the medial collateral ligament in her left knee.

It forced her to withdraw from the rest of the grass-court season, including Wimbledon, and now at least part of the North American hardcourt campaign.
