Woman seriously injured in Brampton crash involving e-bike and vehicle
Two people are injured, one in serious condition, following a collision involving an e-bike and another vehicle in Brampton.
Emergency crews responded to the area near Balmoral Drive and Crawley Drive, close to Bramalea Road, just before noon on Monday.
Paramedics transported a female to a trauma centre with serious injuries. A male suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
It’s not yet known what led to the crash.
NDP leader says he won’t run in Quebec byelection as Boulerice announces departure
OTTAWA — NDP Leader Avi Lewis said Monday he won’t run in an upcoming Quebec byelection to fill a seat being left vacant by Alexandre Boulerice.
Boulerice officially announced Monday he is leaving Parliament to run provincially for the Québec solidaire after spending 15 years as an MP.
He will sit as an Independent until he formally resigns his seat in the Quebec riding of Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie ahead of the provincial election campaign call this fall.

Teen stabbed near Scarborough business, police say
Toronto police are investigating after a teenager was injured during a daytime stabbing at a business in Scarborough.
Officers were called to the Fairfax Crescent and Warden Avenue area near St. Clair Avenue West just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Police said a teenager was stabbed at a business in the area and that the suspect fled on foot. The victim’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Man found dead with signs of trauma in Mississauga, homicide unit investigating: Peel police
A man found with signs of trauma in Mississauga on Monday morning has been declared dead, prompting a Peel Regional police homicide investigation.
The victim, believed to be in his 60s, was found in the Kennedy Road and Matheson Boulevard area at around 8:34 a.m.
