TORONTO — Your next drink order from McDonald’s Canada may come in a frosty cup all but glowing from its fluorescence or brimming with a layer of foam thick enough to give you a milk moustache.
The fast-food giant is reimagining the drink menu you grew up with in favour of a new roster launching May 5. It will keep the classics — pop, coffee, tea, milk and juice — but position crafted sodas, fruity refreshers and foamy iced coffees as new, permanent cornerstones.

Toronto’s cherry blossoms are surging toward peak bloom, with High Park’s Sakura trees now in Stage 5 of development — the final step before the canopy bursts fully open.

Man injured in North York shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in North York Monday night.
Toronto police were called to Grandravine Drive and Derrydown Road around 9:40 p.m. to reports of a shooting outdoors.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was found shot and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspects details have been released.
Grandravine is closed at Keele Street as police investigate.
