The first hint something was up, was when we spotted a small group of Iranian footballers in the hotel lobby.

We counted at least three players, wearing black headscarves and dressed in the team's grey shirts, chatting with four people we suspected at the time - and now know - were Iranians from the local community here on Australia's Gold Coast.

Australian designer Katie Perry has won her High Court appeal against pop megastar Katy Perry in a years-long trademark case.

In a decision on Wednesday, High Court judges found that Katie Perry had not hurt the US singer's reputation or caused confusion with her clothing brand, which started in 2007.

Passenger trains between China and North Korea will resume service on Thursday, reviving a transport link that was shuttered for six years due to the pandemic, China's rail operator said.

Trains between Beijing and Pyongyang will operate four times a week, while the service between the Chinese border city of Dandong and the North Korean capital will run daily, China Railway said in a notice late Tuesday.

A 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at the home of pop superstar Rihanna, prosecutors said.

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is accused of firing a semiautomatic rifle at the singer's Los Angeles mansion at 13:15 local time (21:15 GMT) on Sunday.

No one was injured in the shooting. Ortiz is being held on bail set at $1.875m

The special election to replace former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is projected to head to a runoff after none of the candidates secured a majority of the votes on Tuesday night.

Republican Clay Fuller, who received President Donald Trump's endorsement, is projected to face Democrat Shawn Harris to represent Georgia's 14th congressional district, according to a projection by the BBC's US partner CBS.

Large parts of Dresden to be evacuated after 250kg WW2 bomb found

The bomb was found near the Carola Bridge, which is being rebuilt after collapsing into the river in 2024.

Much of the centre of the German city of Dresden will be evacuated on Wednesday, after the discovery of a large unexploded British World War Two flying bomb.
