At the CP+ trade show, Tokina is presenting a new lens that is currently in development. The teaser reads “ One Lens line no Other ”. It is said to be a wide-angle fixed focal length lens with very high light intensity. What technical specifications would you like to see?

7Artisans 135mm f/1.8 FE lens will go on sale in late 2026 for $800
The new 7Artisans 135mm f/1.8 FE autofocus lens will be sold the second half of this year for a price around $800. That’s $200 more than the Samyang 135mm f/1.8 FE lens you can get now at BHphoto . But I do think 7Artisans might be able to offer a lens with superior image quality.

They Cut Open a Sony RX1R III at CP+ show!
At CP+ 2026, Sony did cut open the Sony RX1rIII . You immediately notice how close the lens sits to the sensor. Sony said it takes micron-level precision to achieve this. INterviewed by Dpreview Yasufumi Machitani, General Manager of the Camera Business Department of Sony’s Imaging Entertainment unit, said:
“Each lens and image sensor position is precisely adjusted with micron-level precision. That’s why the RX1R series is very sharp, even in this very small form
Creators’ App ver.3.3 has been released.
You can now upload multiple untransferred photos and videos from your camera or smartphone to Creators’ Cloud storage. You can also specify upload criteria such as shooting format or rating.

First images of the new Samyang 20-50mm f/2.0 and other mockups!
German YouTuber ValueTech had the opportunity to see the 3D-printed models of four new Full Frame E-mount Samyang lenses. He said that Samyang wanted to gather feedback on these designs. The size of the lenses corresponds to the actual target.
