Toronto police are warning the public about an ongoing taxi and food delivery scam happening across the city.

According to investigators, it’s been alleged that a woman has been approaching unsuspecting victims from a taxicab with a sob story, claiming that the driver does not accept cash and will only accept debit.

Man, 34, wanted in Scaborough stabbing

A 34-year-old Toronto man is wanted in connection with a stabbing in Scarborough last week.

Toronto police say officers were called to Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue around 5 p.m. on Saturday for reports of a stabbing.

It’s alleged the victim and the suspect got into a verbal altercation. The suspect then stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuires.

Police working to verify whether Canada’s second most-wanted fugitive has been arrested in Spain

MONTREAL — All Boivin, one of Canada’s most-wanted fugitives, has been arrested in Spain after more than three years on the lam, Quebec provincial police announced Friday.

Police misconduct information must be disclosed in criminal case, Supreme Court says

The Supreme Court of Canada says information about an Edmonton police detective’s past misconduct must be disclosed in the criminal proceedings of a man he helped investigate.

A 2015 finding of misconduct against Edmonton Police Service detective Jared Ruecker was recorded in a document called “Decision of Hearing.”

The misconduct finding was later removed from Ruecker’s disciplinary record in accordance with a regulatory provision.

Four years ago, John McKee was charged with drug and weapons offences after an investigation in which Ruecker took part.

As millions of people prepare to hit the streets of Toronto to celebrate Pride weekend , police are reminding partygoers to keep an eye on their belongings and watch out for pick pockets.

13-year-old boy struck by vehicle in Ajax

A 13-year-old boy is in hospital after he was hit by a car in Ajax on Thursday.

Durham police were called to the area of Harwood Avenue North and Rossland Road West around 6:30 p.m. for a collision.

The boy was riding a scooter, moving west across the intersection and was struck by a vehicle going south, police said.

Pedestrian brought to hospital after being hit by a car in downtown Toronto

A pedestrian was transported to a hospital Friday morning after being hit by a car in downtown Toronto, police said.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Sherbourne and Dundas streets at approximately 9:45 a.m. for reports of a collision.

One man was brought to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Dundas Street is closed at Sherbourne Street for an investigation.

A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a vehicle in Ajax Thursday afternoon.

Durham police were called to the area of Harwood Avenue North and Kerrison Drive East at 3:45 p.m. for reports of a crash.

According to police, the grey/silver Honda motorcycle was travelling southbound on Harwood approaching Kerrison when a black Chevrolet Malibu travelling northbound “turned left into the path of the motorcycle.”

TAIPEI (AP) — A small aircraft crashed into Beijing’s tallest building on Friday, the global flight tracking service provider Flightradar24 confirmed, following witness accounts and evacuations in the city’s business district.
